Safety. Respect. Responsibility. Development.
At Metro Brooklyn Soccer Club, standards are not optional.
They define how we train, communicate, protect, and support every child.
This page outlines the principles and policies that guide our daily work.
Children come first. Always.
Every decision we make — on the field and off the field — is guided by one priority:
the physical, emotional, and psychological well-being of the child.
We commit to:
- safe training environments
- respectful communication
- structured development
- zero tolerance for abuse, harassment, or bullying
No bullying. No harassment. No abuse.
Metro Brooklyn Soccer Club maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy toward:
- bullying (verbal, physical, emotional)
- harassment of any kind
- discrimination based on race, nationality, language, gender, ability, or background
- abusive behavior by players, parents, coaches, or staff
Any violation is addressed immediately and may result in:
- suspension
- removal from activities
- permanent dismissal from the club
This policy applies to:
- players
- parents and guardians

We invest in our coaches so they can invest responsibly in your children.
Prepared, not reactive.
Our club maintains:

Safety is proactive, structured, and documented.
Trust is built through accountability.
All coaches and staff:
- undergo comprehensive background checks
- comply with school, charter, and city safety requirements
- follow reporting protocols for any safety or welfare concerns
We take compliance seriously — because families and institutions trust us with what matters most.
Development over pressure.
We believe:
- progress should be structured and age-appropriate
- development should be consistent, not rushed
- competition should never come at the expense of well-being
Our programs emphasize:
- healthy physical development
- confidence and resilience
- teamwork and responsibility
- enjoyment of the game
No child is pushed beyond what they are ready for.
We are partners, not opponents.
We expect parents and guardians to:
- support positive communication
- respect coaching decisions and processes
- model appropriate behavior on the sidelines
- address concerns through proper channels
Aggressive behavior toward children, coaches, referees, or staff is not tolerated.
A healthy environment requires shared responsibility.
Clear. Honest. Respectful.
We commit to:
- open communication with families
- timely updates on schedules and changes
- transparency around expectations, policies, and procedures
Concerns are addressed respectfully and privately — never through confrontation.
Every child deserves dignity and opportunity.
We actively promote:
- inclusion of children with different physical abilities
- support for children from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
- access regardless of financial circumstances whenever possible
Respect is non-negotiable.
Why standards matter
Standards are not rules for control.
They are systems for protection, trust, and growth.
They allow children to:
- feel safe
- feel respected
- focus on learning and enjoying the game
They allow families and partners to trust us.
